"A perfect 5/5?"

I don’t really want to give 5 stars, because that signifies perfection, but I am! Kenton is passionate, engaging, and easy to follow. Thank you for stoking what has smouldered in my mind for quite a while now.

"The BEST decision we could make."

Kenton made us feel like we deserve this dream, and we can do it! We can change our lives for the better and heal the earth around us. It is rare to find someone who just fits into your plans in a bigger way than you could have EVER IMAGINED! With GREAT LOVE and GRATITUDE

"You are in expert hands!"

Kenton will make you evaluate what is important to YOU, and then show you how to design your own solutions. That skill is invaluable. At the end of the course, you will not only have your best solution and a mentor, but a colleague and friend!

"A Pretty Damn Good Time"

In the face of uncertain times, I saw the need to change my life, so I took Kenton's course. I learned things you didn't even know you needed to know for my house design, utilities... even legalities! Add in Kenton's sense of humor, his wealth of knowledge, and abundant passion, and you got yourself a pretty damn good time!! I wholeheartedly recommend him.

"Life-changing..."

I first took Kenton's workshops on edible landscaping. They were informative, inspiring, and honestly, life-changing. Then I designed my own 100% edible landscape then turned my design into reality. His courses literally changed my life.

Meet Your Teacher

Kenton began his career as a high school teacher in western Canada but left the classroom after realizing the education system was failing to teach one of the most important subjects of all: how to live well on Earth. That realization sent him on a global journey to learn, teach, and design in communities around the world. His work has included:

•6 teaching tours across Canada
•3 projects with First Nations
•2 sustainability schools started (incl. with Barbados Ministry of Agriculture)
•12+ schoolyards & community projects
•100+ client properties designed
•1000+ students taught

Today, Kenton teaches people how to create homes & yards that shelter & feed them. He passionately believes in the power of education to change the world, one person, one property, one community at a time.

He lives in an off-grid tiny house in British Columbia that he designed and built. He enjoys paddleboarding, trail running, and geocaching almost as much as he enjoys writing in the third person.

What are you waiting for?

Join a learning community of others just like you turning themselves from property dreamers into property doers. We meet up on the 2nd Wednesday of every month + Gain immediate access to over 60+ hours of lessons upon signup.

Got Questions? We Got Answers:

A: We meet virtually on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 5:30 pm PST. We currently use Google Meet as our online meeting platform. You will be sent the invitation 1 month beforehand and a reminder 24 hours ahead of time.

A: Our monthly meet-ups are 90 minutes long. If you need to join late or leave early, you are more than welcome. We ask that you say hi in the call group chat when you come in, and say a personal goodbye if you have to leave early. We treat these like a get-together, not like a come-and-go webinar.

A: We have a flexible format. We almost always start with a “Connect before Content” which can take 5-30 minutes which allows our community to connect with each other. Kenton or a guest speaker will usually take 30-60 min to present on a topic. The session then usually transitions to Q&A, mentorship, and any announcements. Occasionally, we finish early and we have discussions & share & tell.

A: No worries! The recording of the meet-up will be uploaded to the community library for you to rewatch later. The “Connect before content” will not be included in the recording to respect members’ privacy and to encourage live participation.

A: I designed this course to keep you engaged and awake! My live calls don’t feel like stuffy university lectures. I crack jokes, ask open questions to the group, use a special software called Prezi to make engaging visuals, and give you hands-on assignments. I am a passionate and professional teacher who wants to provide you as much value, and engage you, as much as I can.

A: Members can cancel their membership and access to meet-ups and the course at any time by notifying the admin team. Membership is billed every month on the same day you registered. Once a month’s membership is processed, there is no refund.

A: I started as a professional teacher in the educational system but quickly saw we were not teaching people how to live on earth. I got my permaculture design certificate with Rob Avis in Alberta, then did an internship in Australia under Geoff Lawton, a heavyweight in the permaculture world (and he studied under Bill Mollison, the guy who started permaculture). After that, I got certified as a Permaculture Teacher under the Permaculture Research Institute and started a permaculture school in Barbados, where I trained over 100 permaculture designers. I’ve since done 150+ consultations and designs for private clients and government bodies, and mentored over 1600 students. When it comes to off-grid living, I draw on my own experiences of living for 10 years in a tiny home that I designed and built. I am currently taking a Master’s in Landscape Architecture at the University of British Columbia and bringing that back to my community.

A: A permaculture design course is the standard for training people in Permaculture around the world. It is usually 72+ hours long and costs $1000-3000. Kenton has created an online library of lessons, including what he teaches for a Permaculture Design Course, and you get access to all of it with your membership! We believe in making this education accessible and affordable.

A: Let’s make sure you have all the information you need to make this exciting decision! Send your questions to: Kenton@AttainableSustainableAcademy.com

P.s. DONT BE SHY! If you have a question, likely 20 others have the same question. Kenton will directly get back to you. And then he might get me (your trusty website builder) to put the question here in the Q&A section! So ask away.
